Looking good!
Yes the facelift headlights don't have a very good light quality, but they get blind after a while.
look at the square, which appear on the headlight when they are on.
If the square isn't dark in the middle then the headlight is okay.If they get dark in the middle, they are losing brightness because of the lense getting blind.
known problem and in the past they were changed by the dealers during a recall.
Try to use better, road legal ;), bulbs.

Today no images to show but the car was treated to several wire brushes and the rear suspension beam and surrounding areas are rust free. The rear chassis was more of a pain to get to so the plans is to finish this up next weekend & stone guard & waxoil the underneath once done. Then moving onto the middle & front of the car to complete the work.
Also Just found a KY5 phase 2 bonnet so will get it sprayed up so I can do away with the badge on the bonnet and maybe fit something a little different?
-
Here is a post about my car from another forum and some recent trial pics I need to decide if is worth spraying this to match the car or leaving it KY5?
Quote by EDK I must say, the bumper looks better in person, but I'm still not keen on that grille. It's like the designer put a rough one in as a marker, but then never bothered to finish shaping it. The rear however is bloody awesome. Perfect for the phase 1 bumper. Damn Nissan for not doing an N16 GTi and progressing on the body kit too from the N15 GTi. I bet it would have been very interesting and much more of a looker from factory. So many tricks missed from Nissan with the UK market.
Anyway, here's the photos, testing the water to see what the Techno Grey bonnet looks like if kept that colour. Or colour code it was per the original plan. FYI Phase 2 bonnets fit fine on a phase 1.

your exhaust ist too small
i don´t know why, i like the style of your car, i think the dark grey coulor better
-
It's the standard exhaust with a tip as I knew it would look really bad without the tip with all the bodykit etc on.
It's on it's way out so a cat back will be on the list soon enough.

Quick update despite having done all the hard work on the current bumper I am tempted to grab this little bargain and fettle it for a slightly more refined look with an open grill & foglights what do you guys think?
-
this bumper isn´t very nice!
the old one is much better!

Right after collecting a few bits from various members from the AOC (@JAE) I have some new goodies to be fitted to the car...
An QG SS exhaust manifold, two pot brake conversion and my custom made stealth sub box. I plan to fit them as soon as I get a few spare moments, pictures to follow...
Ok here is the audio update for the lil N16, thanks go out to Fox1983 for his efforts in making this stealth sub enclosure for me. Here are a few pics of the Mutant X sub box that I got the speaker and amp from and then the enclosure with them fitted and in place in the boot of the car:

Ok it's been a while since I updated my progress with the car as not much other then parts gathering has taken place. Well as things are coming along well thought I'd put up some progress and mention what parts have been sourced recently.
Well finally fitted my replacement track rod ends on my N16, so very much overdue and the car feels tight & responsive again.
This is the offending very worn track rod end looking all sorry for it's self
New one ready to be fitted
And a few comparison pics
Prior to fitting the new ones the drive was very unstable and braking from speed was an adventure in it's self so this was a must do fix.
So parts list updated, since my last update I have sourced a set of GTi side skirts phase 1 that I will have soon ready to get paint and be fitted. In addition to that I have also sourced a set of gold plated battery terminals ready for my earthing kit and the wiring up of my stealth sub-woofer.
A few items I have sourced are currently at my paint guy being prepped namely a shark fin aerial and aftermarket head unit surround ready for my Pioneer H/U to be fitted. Along with an adapter to allow use of the steering wheel controls. Hopefully my B&M short shifter will arrive soon and my SS cat back system that I am currently arranging delivery of.
Well that's it for now I'll update with pictures once I have more progress once all parts are here along with my soon to be purchased Meister R coilovers.

Fitted new aerial today but couldn't connect as N16 uses different aerial connection then one I was supplied with. Followed that by wiring up amp and running RCA cables/remote leads. Forgot how enjoyable it is to lose chunks of flesh whilst working on the car, but amp is all wired just need to get stereo fitted and find an adapter that will fit the shark fin. Hopefully get chrome handles fitted and some pics.
-
Ok here a few pics of the shark fin fitted I like it but then I did when I fitted one on GTT
Unfortunately due to not having the correct connection for the existing N16 aerial I had to refit the old one and will search for a kit to allow me to fit the cable to the aerial. Couldn't be without radio till I sorted it!
No pics of the wiring run for the amp/sub as well it's just tidied up under all the trim etc, more to come hopefully this coming week?
-
I wonder how much is the receiving power with this short shark fin. Well, you can also try a window mount antenna. Imo it's the more powerful solution (compare to dipole antenna and lambda ratio) to get trouble-free access to weak broadcasts.

Well some more goodies arrived Friday including my SS catback care of Phil and Paisley Freight and my ICE bits from the good old US of A ready to plumb in my amp, aftermarket head unit and aerial. Saturday I'll pick up my side skirts and then it will be a busy few weeks worth of fettling to get the cosmetic side sorted while I get the SS manifold etc fitted.
