  • Hallo alles!

Mein name ist Jon und ich habe ein Amerikaner Maxima von 2003.
Ich spreche nicht so gut Deutsch, so ich werde auf Englisch schreiben.

I know this is a german forum, but this is the only maxima forum in Germany I could find. This is a really great site and has alot of neat information (at least from what I can understand).

I am looking for a place around Wiesbaden to dyno my car.
Anyone know where I can go to get this done?
    Thanks

I have pictures of my car here if you want to see them.

  • Welcome to the community.

Nice chrome dubs that you got on your ride.
Better watch out if i am in your hood.... :D ;)

To your question. I´ve never heard the meaning of "to dyno".
What do you mean? Paint job, tuning parts....?

But it will be very hard to get some tuning parts for your ride if you don´t got help from some US friends.
Did you import your tuning parts or how do you get them?
I saw you´re supporting the guys from Maxima.org. Did they help with that stuff?

  • A big WELCOME from me too!
I konow my english is painful, but I try my best.

Like the others said, very nice wheels and also a nice Maxima.
I don`t like the grill of the american Maximas, but that is not
a big problem, because a Maxima you see mostly from behind.
    :D
When you are long enough in Germany you will see, it is very
hard to find tuningparts for the Max. That is a big desaster for
all of us maximadrivers here. And if you find some good parts
or if you buy something in US or Asia, the Tüv does not allow
to built that things in/on your car. So, most of the Maxs here
are not very tuned. We would like to, but its hard. And very
more expensive as in US. The second problem is, there are
not many Maximas sold in Germany, so the tuningindustrie
is not interested to build tuningparts for that car. And as you
have seen, to find some maximadrivers is difficult too.

    I drive my second Maxima. Before the A32 I had a 1994 J30
as you can see in my Galerie. My dad sells Nissan since 17yrs
and I am a big fan of Nissan.
What is your profession here? Military? Since when?

Next time when you had been in US and come back to Germany
you bring a container of Maxima-Tuningparts and sell it to us.
You can go back to US with your own airplane after that, I think.
    :D

I think " to dyno" means testing the engine´s power of Accelleration and such ...

But I don´t know where you could do this arround Wiesbaden, sorry

  • Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome.
I think dyno in German is "Prufstand" or "Leistung" like Dominc said, it's to test engine's horsepower.

Thanks doc, is Bosch-service over there by the wal-mart?
My friend who has a VW Corrado and I want to get ours cars tested before we start to tune the engines more.

MaximaV6: I have noticed Tuning does seem to be difficult here with TUV.
I order most of my parts from the states, but shipping is very expensive.
I work for the American schools over here, so I go through the American inspections which don't have as many restrictions as you do.
I still see alot of nice German tuned BMW's and VW's around.
Hey and your wheels do look nice on my car. :perfekt:

The Bosch-Service should be next to the Wal-Mart just across the street :) According to their Website they offer dyno runs for cars. But give them a call just to be on the save side ;)
